In an unprecedented unanimous victory, the Unity Slate, led by Benjamin Shrader, was elected to lead the Austin Young Republicans, with Shrader serving as Chairman and President.
Who Is Chairman Benjamin Shrader?
Benjamin Shrader is the CEO of Shrader Promotions LLC, an event production company he has successfully operated for the past nine years. Through his company, Benjamin has coordinated concerts and large-scale events throughout Texas, working with A-list artists and nationally recognized talent.
During his previous leadership roles within the Austin Young Republicans, Benjamin became deeply involved in the local community, significantly expanding the organization’s visibility, influence, and prestige across Travis County, throughout Texas, and even beyond state lines.
Leadership at Every Level
National Level
Benjamin serves as the VIP Director of the Young Republican National Federation, where he ensures donors and VIPs receive an exceptional experience at national Young Republican events.
State & Local Level
Benjamin serves as the TYRF SREC Liaison, acting as a vital bridge between the Texas Young Republican Federation and the Republican Party of Texas.
He is also the Precinct Chair of Precinct 375, where he regularly welcomes members of his precinct into his home, fostering grassroots engagement, community, and civic participation.
Additionally, he serves as the Candidate Recruitment Chair for the Travis County Republican Party, working to identify, recruit, and support strong conservative candidates to run for office at every level.
In each role he has held, Benjamin has demonstrated professionalism, effectiveness, and exemplary leadership.
Resilience & Personal Story
Born and raised in Travis County, Benjamin began his academic career at Texas A&M University before withdrawing due to a golf ball–sized brain tumor. After undergoing surgery and relearning how to walk, he continued his education and went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning the university’s highest academic honors.
Benjamin has severe dyslexia and is partially deaf as a result of his brain tumor. Rather than allowing these challenges to limit him, he embraces them, often saying: “They made me who I am.”
Republican Values & Vision
A lifelong Republican, Benjamin has supported President Donald J. Trump since the day he descended the escalator. Benjamin had the opportunity to meet President Trump and was a firsthand witness to the assassination attempt on July 13th in Pennsylvania.
He has been actively involved with Asian Republican organizations, Turning Point USA, and Young Americans for Freedom, working to expand conservative outreach and inspire the next generation of leaders. In an inspirational address to the youth of Travis County, Chairman Shrader captured his leadership philosophy with a message that defines his vision: “To be a great leader is to call others to greatness. Everyone yearns for the call to be great. All I ask is that you answer the call.”
